RESPONSIBILITIES
Ken serves as a Vice President of LBR Inc. He is also LBR's Engineer-In-Charge
of design projects, studies and reports, and a Project Manager.
Ken is responsible for design, design supervision and coordination
for all aspects of airport improvement projects.
EXPERIENCE
Ken came to LBR from Grossman and Keith Engineers in Oklahoma City,
where he was responsible for detailed design of roadway and highway
bridge projects, as well as site grading, drainage and structural
design for commercial and institutional facilities. He has also
developed and stamped structural calculations for small wind turbine
towers. His special skills include proficiency in Microstation,
STAAD, and Microsoft Office Products. Ken has experience with StormCad,
Culvert Design and HECRAS Software by Haestad Methods.
At Wyle Laboratories, El Segundo, California, he was responsible
for project engineering and structural design of high performance
test equipment, such as large centrifuges, rocket sleds and mechanical
vibration systems. Other significant projects included a water tunnel
at NUSC, Newport, Rhode Island, and thrust stands at AEDC, Tullahoma,
Tennessee and Edwards Air Force Base, California. He designed test
equipment foundations and test facility structural modifications.
Ken also served two years in an on-site test support engineering
role at Edwards Air Force Base. During this time his duties included
department management and proposal development. He also developed
and participated in market and design review presentations. He used
MS Project scheduling software.
At the Jet Propulsion Lab in Pasadena, California, he performed
structural design and analysis for spacecraft structures and components.
He also supported structural design methods development. During
this time Ken became proficient in structural finite element methods.
At the Ralph M. Parsons Company, Pasadena, California, he provided
structural design analysis for aerospace ground facilities, nuclear
fuels processing plans and petrochemical/refinery installations.
Ken served in the U. S. Air Force as Branch Manager for design
and construction under the Base Civil Engineer at Kunson Air Base,
in Korea. He also served as a Civil Engineering research engineer
for underground missile launch facilities at the USAF Minuteman
Program Office.
